David Jolly is one of SA's leading trainers with over 20 years' experience winning many listed and group winners. David treats all the horses to an individual training preparation to suit each horse to its strengths as a sprinter, a middle distance horse or staying horse.

David took out his trainers licence and became the first member of his family to train a Group 1 winner Zip Zip Aray in the 2002 Goodwood Handicap. The next big success was several years later claiming the 2010/11 Trainers Premiership in SA which saw a listed races, a couple of Group 3 winners and a Group 2 in Adelaide. The following years David has success training Avoid Lightning in her early years of racing career winning a couple of listed races in Adelaide and Melbourne and later transferring to Sydney winning group 2 and 3 races. During this time David had success with Budriguez ($25k yearling) with winning in 2013 the Group 3 Carlyon Cup, Group 2 Blamey stakes with saw a dead-heat with Puissance De Lune and Group 3 Victoria Handicap.
